USTA Leagues - Duluth
TRI-LEVEL LEAGUES WORK FOR EVERYONE
Every player should consider registering for tri-level leagues. These leagues require only 4 or more players at a given level to compete—many fewer than the number required for adult, senior and mixed teams. Under this format you and your partner register as a “team” to play doubles matches against the other “teams” at your level. The teams that win the local league competition advance to the sectional tournament at the beautiful Lifetime Tennis Center in Lakeville. The winner of the sectional tournament advances to play during the professional ATP tournament in Indian Wells, California in March 2011. This is a great opportunity to play competitive tennis on the same courts used by the professionals during their tournament and you will receive free tickets to watch professional matches during your stay at the tournament. Last year players from Duluth participated at the 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 levels and had exciting competition in the Twin Cities. The Washburn 3.5 men’s team again advanced to represent the Northern Section at Indian Wells. If they can do it, so can you. Why not give this a try?
LEAGUE FEES AND DATES AND TIMES OF PLAY
Summer league fees are $18 for each player (plus the $3 “Tennis Link” registration fee). Adult leagues and tri-level leagues at each level will be scheduled on the same evenings. Expected dates of play (subject to change) are as follows:
