Teaching Professionals
Lee Kruger teaches Economics and History at East High School. He is also the assistant tennis coach at St. Scholastica. Lee's wife Kim is on the faculty of the UMD Medical School as assistant director of the Duluth Family Practice Center. Their children are Ali who is 6 and Ty who is 3. Lee played high school tennis and hockey for Minnetonka and college tennis for Gustavus. Lee taught at Gustavus' Tennis and Life Camp for four years and was a supervisor there for the last two years. Lee coached boys and girls tennis at Duluth East for two years, in Brainerd for one year, at Montecello for three years, and at Minnetonka for five years where he also coached hockey. During the summers, Lee was head pro at Longview for five years, at Wayzata Country Club for three years, and at the Minnetonka Tennis Club for two years. Lee is a master fisherman.
Sarah Hurst is a former Div. III All-American tennis player at Connecticut College. From 1995-2005, Sarah was an Associate Professor of Phsyical Education, Athletics and Recreation and Head Tennis Coach at Carleton College. In 2005 Sarah married a native Duluthian. She now teaches phsyical education classes at Lake Superior College.
